I'm a role-player and I find HoI4 much more enjoyable than EUIV I've played far more HoI4 in one year than EUIV over four years. Secondly, it might also be worth thinking about whether you are more of a role-player (you play the games to imagine what it's like to live in that era, so losing can be lots of fun) or a min-maxer (the game is a puzzle to be beaten, so you want to win every time). Of course, it's best to buy from this website when possible, so that more of the money goes to Paradox itself. You should be able to get the essential EUIV DLCs ( Common Sense and probably Art of War) for a lower price to HoI base+major DLCs. I am on a very limited budget and use the CheapShark website to find out when sales are happening. I have heard good things about Vicky, but best to get that info directly from someone experienced with it.įirst of all, whatever you buy, make sure that you buy it during a sale, so that you can get as many of the DLC as your finances allow. I have not played Vicky 2 or Stellaris to an extent where my opinion on them would be meaningful. This can happen in EU 4 also but is more rare.Īmong the Pdox games I've played, I recommend CK2 and EU 4 (bear in mind that these both have UI issues too, just less so). Its UI, flavor text, national focuses and a few achievement descriptions are also inaccurate so if you play ironman you can have runs end due to dev mistakes rather than your mistakes. I've had some good times playing it, but I can't recommend a game that does this. When they try, you get answers that are inconsistent with what happens in the game (stated rules must accurately constrain anticipation, and they don't). My basis for saying this is simple: when it comes down to it, even veterans with > 1000 hours can not give you a description to answer the basic question of "according to the rules, who gets control of land during and after wars in HOI 4?". HOI 4 does not work yet, and hasn't given much hope it will in the near future.
EUROPA UNIVERSALIS 4 GAMEPLAY REDDIT FULL
Looks more complicated and time-consuming.ĮU4 is more appealing to me, but the smarter choice may be to buy the full HOI4 game and to wait until I have enough money to buy the full EU4.

I am not able to purchase all of the DLCs, I would like to have the full game. Purely War-Focused, not many other options. Was introduced to Strategy games threw HOI. I am able to purchase all the DLCs and Add-Ons. I was set on buying this game, but looked at other games similar to this game, this is were EU4 comes in. I was introduced to these types of games threw YouTube, from watching challenges on Hearts of Iron 4. I think a have a relatively (?) new and unique situation, but I'm sure its not very new. I know, there seems to be many questions on this forum exactly like this, but I would appreciate if you would read the post, as I am sure many of you could help me out.
